INGREDIENTS:
- • 1⁄2 Kilo Fish (Seer Fish or King Mackerel)
To Grind:
- • 15 dry red chillies
- • 2 tbsp cumin seeds
- • 1 tbsp coriander (cilantro) seeds
- • 12 shallots (small onions)
For Gravy:
- • Tamarind – Size of a small lime.
- • 100g Anandham Sesame Oil
- • 1⁄2 tsp turmeric powder
- • 10 shallots (small onions), finely cut
Instructions:
Cut the fish into chunky medium sized pieces. Keep aside.
Grind the cumin seeds, coriander seeds and small onions and make a paste. Keep aside.
Soak the tamarind in water for 5 to 10 minutes and take the juice. Mix the tamarind juice and grinded
mixture in a cooking bowl. Add sufficient water for the gravy. Add the turmeric powder and salt to taste.
Add in the finely cut small onion in the gravy. Add Anandham Sesame Oil and the fish. Put the curry on
the stove and let it boil. After the oil starts to leave the sides of the cooking bowl, remove and serve.
